What is involved in a balance?
A balance session is a gentle, nurturing process designed to support both your physical and emotional well-being. It begins with a comprehensive evaluation, where I take time to get to know you—your symptoms, lifestyle, health history, and unique experiences.
We explore:
-
Physical symptoms or areas of discomfort
-
Emotional well-being and mental health
-
Lifestyle factors, including stress levels and daily habits
-
Childhood experiences and developmental milestones
-
Potential left and right brain disconnections
-
Signs of retained primitive reflexes
This is a collaborative and respectful conversation where you are fully heard and supported. From there, we work together to create a plan that helps restore balance between the mind and body.
🛏️ What to Expect During the Session
Most of the session takes place with you lying fully clothed on a therapy table, in a calm and supportive environment. While we continue to talk gently, I use soothing, non-invasive techniques to help your body release tension, stress, and emotional patterns that may have been held for many years.
The goal is to help your nervous system shift into a more regulated, relaxed state, supporting:
-
Integration of primitive reflexes
-
Improved brain-body communication
-
Release of long-held tension
-
Greater emotional clarity and resilience
Each session is deeply personal and tailored to your specific needs. The experience is always kind, respectful, and focused on building safety and trust—because true healing happens when the body feels safe enough to let go.
KIDS
I know how hard it can be when your little one isn’t feeling their best. As a parent, you just want them to be happy—and it can be daunting not knowing where to start. I would be honoured to support you and your child through this journey.
💛 A Safe and Gentle Approach
My approach is kind, gentle, and child-led. Building trust and safety is always the number one priority. This starts by getting to know you both and giving your child space to feel comfortable in my environment. Often, this looks like them wandering around, asking questions, touching everything, and testing boundaries—not to misbehave, but to see if I’m someone they can trust. And that’s exactly how it should be.
🌿 What Brings You Here?
Many parents reach out due to anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, or behavioural challenges. In my experience, these are often signs of a dysregulated nervous system, where the body is stuck in a fight, flight, or freeze response. When this happens, the child’s ability to feel calm, digest food properly, sleep soundly, or manage emotions can be impacted.
🌈 How We Work Together
Together, we focus on nervous system regulation using beautiful, soothing techniques tailored to your child’s comfort and needs. These may include (always with your consent):
-
Gentle massage of the feet and wrists using calming essential oils
-
Soft rocking to bring a sense of safety and rhythm
-
Gentle neck massage to release tension
-
Techniques to stimulate the vagus nerve—helping the body return to its natural "rest and digest" state
I always meet your child where they’re at. I never push or pressure them to participate in anything they’re not ready for. If I need to work while sitting on the floor, I will. If your child wants to chat or not chat at all, that’s okay. We follow their lead.
Through connection, kindness, and gentle support, we help their body begin to relax again—letting go of stress and tension, and creating space for healing, joy, and growth.
How many balances will I need?
Every individual is unique, but as a general guide, beginning with 3 to 4 sessions can be an effective way to support a harmonious balance between your mind, body, and spirit.
While some people may need fewer sessions, others might benefit from more, depending on their personal circumstances. Typically, I suggest booking a second session about two weeks after the first, and then we tailor the timing of any future sessions based on your progress and needs.
I truly believe that Kinesiology is a powerful tool for helping us live in alignment with our fullest potential. Many clients find that ongoing bi-monthly sessions serve as a wonderful way to reset, recharge, and stay connected to their health and well-being—both mentally and physically.
How will I feel afterwards?
Every experience is unique and deeply personal, shaped by your individual circumstances. Some people leave feeling calm, uplifted, or deeply at peace, while others may notice a surge in energy or emotional release.
At times, sessions may uncover unresolved trauma or subconscious patterns. This can stir emotional intensity—but please know, nothing will surface unless you’re ready to process and move forward. While healing can sometimes feel uncomfortable, it is always worth it. You are safe in this space, and every emotion you feel is valid and part of your healing journey.
Kinesiology gently supports the body’s natural ability to return to balance, joy, and love. Beyond emotional healing, the process offers powerful insights into your health, helping you understand the subconscious patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing.
It’s important to remember that true transformation also requires action—adjustments to habits, diet, and behaviors may be needed to support lasting change. Together, we will work to empower your journey toward holistic wellbeing.
How does an online balance work ?
An online balance session mirrors an in-person session in many ways, with one key difference—you'll be more actively involved in identifying and applying pressure to specific points on your body.
During the height of Covid, I deepened my skills through various online courses and experienced the effectiveness of this approach firsthand. Since then, I’ve successfully supported many clients remotely, and I’m confident we can achieve meaningful progress together, even from a distance.
These sessions are all about connection—if it doesn’t feel right for you, it won’t for me either, and we’ll adapt accordingly. Your comfort, trust, and progress are always my priority.
How long will a balance take?
Your healing journey begins with an initial kinesiology consultation lasting approximately 90 minutes, allowing ample time to explore your needs in depth.
Follow-up sessions are available in either 60- or 90-minute formats, tailored to your preferences and goals.
For children, I recommend a maximum of 45 minutes per session to suit their energy and attention span.
If you're just beginning or prefer a shorter commitment, you’re welcome to start with a gentle 45-minute session—a great way to ease into the process and experience the benefits of kinesiology.
